High Holy Days

Congregation Shir Ami’s 2020/5781 High Holy Days schedule has been set! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be having services online with Zoom and not in-person; our building is closed in a continuing effort to keep our community safe.

The High Holy Days Committee has been working very hard to put together a wonderful program for you, your family, and friends; we hope very much that you can join us for this time of prayer, celebration, and community.

Services are always free for Shir Ami members.

We want everyone to be able to experience this season with us;  due to the hardships many families are facing during COVID-19, we are making our services available online for free. For guests who are in a position to make a donation, the suggested rates are below. We encourage all guests to give what they feel is appropriate and comfortable for them at this time. All donations are greatly appreciated!

$18.00 for Rosh HaShanah only (Includes all events on September 18th and 19th)
$18.00 for Yom Kippur only (Includes all events on September 27th & 28th)
$36.00 for Rosh HaShanah AND Yom Kippur
Registration is required in advance. After you submit your online registration form (below), the High Holy Days Committee will review it and then contact you with next steps.
We will be using a free flipbook during services so everyone can follow along. If you would like to see what that looks like, you can view it here. Shir Ami members will be given the opportunity to borrow a set of Machzorim–the new gold and silver books we used last year–to use at home. We will have a contactless, drive-through pickup in September. More information about that will be sent separately to all Shir Ami members.
    • Online registration closes at 6:30pm on September 18 for Erev Rosh Hashanah and all Rosh Hashanah events/services. We cannot be processing any new registrations past 7:00 pm when the Erev Rosh Hashanah Meeting Room opens. We will only be helping gusts who have already registered. You may still register for Yom Kippur. Until 5:00pm on September 27th.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you are unable to complete the online registration process, please send an email to administrator@shir-ami.com.

L’Shanah Tovah u’metukah! Wishing you a good and sweet new year!
